Thorough Security Inspections, Management, and Security

Thorough Security Inspections

The security inspectors responsible for security checks are an essential presence at the airport, working tirelessly from early morning to late at night, 365 days a year, to ensure safety and provide peace of mind for passengers boarding flights. To meet the strict requirements of airlines and airport companies and to conduct safe and secure inspections, inspectors work together to solve daily problems, exchange information with inspectors at other airports, and compete with each other to improve the skills they have honed in their daily work.

Runway Safety Management

Good runway condition is essential for safe takeoff and landing of aircraft. At the three Kansai airports, inspections and monitoring operations are conducted 24 hours a day to ensure safe aircraft operations. Specifically, we conduct in-depth safety management, including checking runways and taxiways for foreign objects and damage, inspecting aircraft for oil leaks, and ensuring that the aviation lighting system is in working order.

This, to indicate "runway intrusion" to aircraft attempting to cross a runway and "hold, takeoff not cleared" to aircraft attempting to take off when aircraft or vehicles are on the runway.
