Safety and disaster prevention plans

The Kansai Airports Group has formulated various plans for emergencies at airports and is taking steps to ensure safety and security.

Kansai Airports BCP (Business Continuity Plan)

We have formulated the “Kansai Airports BCP” to ensure the safety of our customers and employees in all hazardous situations at the three Kansai airports and to restore airport functions as soon as possible. This BCP contains specific procedures and practical information that can be used immediately in an airport emergency. In the event of an emergency, the relevant agencies inside and outside the airport work together and are fully prepared to resolve the situation.

Earthquake・Tsunami BCP (Business Continuity Plan)

We have formulated an Earthquake and Tsunami BCP to protect the lives of our customers and employees, quickly restore airport functions, and ensure that the three Kansai airports function as disaster prevention bases in the event of an earthquake or tsunami disaster. The BCP has been disseminated to all businesses within the airports, and we are striving to take appropriate measures in the event of a disaster.

Certification of Organizations Contributing to National Resilience (Resilience Certification)

The "Certification of Organizations Contributing to National Resilience (Resilience Certification)" is granted to companies and organizations actively engaged in business continuity. The Cabinet Secretariat's National Resilience Promotion Office established this system in February 2016 based on the "Guidelines for Certification of Organizations Contributing to National Resilience." The goal is to encourage proactive business continuity efforts among various organizations, including large corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, schools, hospitals, and other entities, to strengthen the overall resilience of society. In addition, a new evaluation system was introduced in July 2018 to broaden the scope of national resilience efforts. This system includes community-based initiatives and evaluates them from the perspective of social contribution (mutual assistance).
Kansai Airports obtained business continuity certification in March 2017 and acquired both business continuity and social contribution certification in March 2025.
