Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that artworks will be displayed in the domestic area on the second floor of Terminal 1 from 30 October 2025, as the third phase of “KIX CULTURE GATE Project,” a project to share the diverse and rich culture of Kansai and Japan from Kansai International Airport (KIX).
This project aims to develop KIX, which welcomes passengers from all over the world, into a place where they can interact with art and culture. This will be the first display at Terminal 1 under this project. The corridor walls in the domestic area on the second floor of the terminal building will be adorned with art, providing a museum-like atmosphere and creating a space where our customers and members of the local communities can enjoy art as part of their daily lives.
The eleven artists participating in this phase have different art styles and connections to Kansai, and they will all bring new discoveries and colors to the airport through their unique works.
Kansai Airports Group will continue to enhance the attractiveness of the airport as a hub for cultural exchange and create exciting passenger experiences.
Display period: Until 31 October 2027
