Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that the KIX Environmental Discovery Adventure – Part 2: “KIX Summer Vacation Special Event: Parent & Child Eco Tour 2026” will be held at Kansai International Airport (KIX) on August 17 (Monday) and August 19 (Wednesday), 2026.
“KIX Summer Vacation Special Event: Parent & Child Eco Tour 2026” is a hands-on environmental learning program that enables participants to learn about Kansai International Airport’s environmental conservation initiatives. In the second edition of the “KIX Environmental Discovery Adventure”, participants will tour normally restricted areas by bus, visit airport facilities and aircraft, and learn about KIX and Airlines initiatives related to decarbonization, the circular economy, and environmental symbiosis. This tour provides an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of and interest in environmental issues and foster awareness of the importance of creating a sustainable society through firsthand observation and learning experiences.

Date & Time: 17 August (Monday) and 19 August (Wednesday) 2026,12:00 to 16:30 each day
*The event will proceed in light rain.
Eligibility: Elementary school students in grades 4 to 6 and their guardians (age 18 or older)
*Children must be accompanied by a guardian.
Capacity: 25 pairs (50 participants) per day, total of 50 pairs (100 participants) over two days
*If applications exceed capacity, participants will be selected by lottery.
Program:
– Ride on a hydrogen-powered fuel cell bus
– Tour and demonstrations at the airport’s environmental facilities
– Observation of environmental measures during aircraft operations …and more!
Application Period: From 14:00 on Friday, 17 July to 12:00 on Wednesday, 29 July 2026
