Kansai Airports, the Osaka Prefectural Federation of Fisheries Cooperative Associations, and the Osaka Bay Marine Beautification and Safety Association (an NPO) are pleased to jointly announce the “See KIX from the Sea Tour” — the first program in the KIX Eco Explorers series — organized in support of the 45th National Convention for the Development of an Abundantly Productive Sea. The tour will take place at Kansai International Airport on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The KIX Eco Explorers is a hands-on environmental education series that offers a fun way to learn about environmental initiatives at Kansai International Airport. In this first program, “See KIX from the Sea Tour,” participants will board a boat to view the airport and its surrounding waters from the sea — a perspective rarely available to the public. They will also learn about the rich marine environment of Osaka Bay and the local fishing industry while enjoying hands-on encounters with fish. By bringing participants closer to the rich natural environment around the airport, the tour aims to deepen their understanding of and interest in marine life, the sea, and the environment.
Kansai Airports Group remains committed to creating airports that are people- and environment-friendly. Through initiatives like this that visitors can enjoy, we will work to share the appeal of the airport and travel with as many people as possible.
