Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that a full-scale aircraft accident drill using a real aircraft will take place at Osaka Itami Airport (ITAMI) on 4 November 2025.
The drill, which will be conducted in accordance with the Osaka International Airport Emergency Plan, is designed to test cooperation with relevant organizations and ensure prompt and appropriate firefighting, rescue, and medical activities in case of an aircraft accident causing many injuries.
Kansai Airports Group will continue conducting various drills to provide all airport users with a safe and secure environment.

Locations:
(1) Apron No. 7 (drill site) and the airport’s fire station at ITAMI
(2) Crisis Management Office (as on-site headquarters) on the eighth floor of ITM Office

Scenario: An aircraft (B737-800) catches fire on Engine No.2 after landing on the runway, causing injuries to many crew members and passengers.
