Kansai Airports today announces the forecast of international passenger traffic, Japanese and non-Japanese combined, at Kansai International Airport (KIX) during the upcoming Golden Week (12 days from Friday, April 25, to Tuesday, May 6).
•International passenger number is forecasted to be 948,400 (daily average: 79,000).
*The 11-day Golden Week 2019 results were 842,180 with a daily average of 76,560.
•The busiest departure date is expected to be Saturday, April 26, with 43,900 passengers, while the busiest arrival date is forecasted to be Monday, May 5, with 45,800 passengers.
*2019 actuals: The peak departure date: Saturday, April 27, with 46,500 passengers.
The peak arrival date: Monday, May 6, with 45,070 passengers.
•The daily average number of passengers is likely to be 103% compared to 2019, with the top three destinations being China Korea, and Southeast Asia.
