Kansai Airports will introduce a gate system at the ground-level pick-up and drop-off area of Terminal 1 at Kansai International Airport (KIX).
In recent years, prolonged parking and vehicle dwell time at the pick-up and drop-off area have become a challenge due to their impact on daily operations and safety. The system will manage vehicle entry and exit times and apply charges based on length of stay to promote appropriate use of the pick-up and drop-off area. The first 10 minutes after entry will remain free of charge and no fee will apply under typical pick-up and drop-off use. Through this initiative, we aim to facilitate short-term pick-up and drop-off use while reducing prolonged parking and vehicle dwell time, thereby improving safety and creating a safer and more comfortable access environment. For longer stays, please use the airport parking facilities, which offer up to 30 minutes of free parking.
