Kansai Airports Kobe is pleased to announce the upcoming “Summer Vacation Early Morning Runway Walk” event at Kobe Airport, scheduled for Saturday, 18 July.
This event is designed to offer elementary and junior high school students a hands-on introduction to airports and aircraft. On the day of the event, participants will have the rare opportunity to walk along the runway — an area normally off-limits to the public — before airport operations begin in the early morning, and view parked aircraft and chemical fire engines up close. Airline staff serving Kobe Airport and “Sorayan,” the official character of the Kansai Airports Group, will also be in attendance, making for a truly special experience. Additionally, in commemoration of the airport’s 20th anniversary on 16 February 2026, all participants will receive an exclusive 20th anniversary commemorative gift.
The Kansai Airports Group will continue its efforts to offer engaging and enjoyable experiences, sharing the excitement of airports and travelling with as many people as possible.

Eligibility: Elementary and junior high school students (must be accompanied by a guardian aged 20 or older)

Notes:
・Public transportation is not available at the time of the event due to the early morning schedule. Attendance is limited to those who can travel by private vehicle.
・A separate parking fee (¥150/hour) will apply for those arriving by car.
・The event may be modified or cancelled due to severe weather or operational requirements.
